Kitchen thing continues to be a huge fuckup. Really bored of the whole thing.
I do know though that the appliances were delivered to the kitchen guy on Thursday.

Upgraded in preperation for the new Battlefield bad company game this week.
$375 – Intel I7 930 CPU
$199 – Kingston DDR3 6GB
$239 – Gigabyte board with 2oz of copper!

From 15-30fps to 80-100, decent result.

Edit 05/04: BFBC2 is another botched EA release and really hard to play a full game + Supcom 2 is apparently shit.
$200 – HD5770

Edit: 07/04
$260 – Falcon 2 64gb SSD!

Built a sewercam.

This thing cost me about $40 to make and it has already paid for itself.

Put in another rainbarrel.

Looks like shit right now. Need to add to and clean up the downpipe and perhaps paint the barel. Its 200liters I didnt have before though.

Deathcar leads to a shallow grave? – Updated 11/12

Published by F4J under Deathcar

Possibly.

Scenario as follows:
Bought another integra on ebay. $200
Registered, running, complete and in good condition. Nice bonus but I intent to strip it.

Seller is picking me up from my house.
Driving me 200k+ to where it is stored at his remote rural property.
Gives me the keys, I then drive it home.
Seller follows me home. Picks up the plates.

Odd, very Odd.

Seller also had me direct debit payment, in preference to offered cash. As “is is easier”

Options as I see them.

1. Seller just wants the car gone, does not care about the money.
2. My body gets dumped in a mineshaft.
3. He touches me, possibly followed by #2.

Update:

A nice old guy arrived, we went for a drive and chatted.
Turned out to be his brothers car, who died a few weeks earlier. The car itself was stored on a very rural block with a burnt down cabin, also his brothers.

Sneaky photo.
hut

He gaved me the keys and off I went. Seller didnt turn up that night to pickup the plates.
Seller didnt reply to email or sms’s until two days later. I’ll hand in the plates myself.

The car itself was a good deal.
$100+ in aftermarket speakers.
20+ liters in the tank.
$2+ in change.
A nice woolen jumper.
+ Whatever parts I swap over, store or sell.
+ Whatever scrap value I get for the remainder.

car

Edit: Started stripping the car. It is kinda hard but I have car bits all over my garage and driveway like a proper bogan now.
Also found buyers for a few parts, might yet make my money back too.

Been doing some woodwork.

Published by F4J under Homelife

The previous owners had one of those horsedogthings.
Apparently it didnt like being locked outside.

eaten

I spent a couple of weeks slowly adding layers of putty, sanding it back.
door

This one shows how much of the door was eaten.
side

The center pillar was eaten to almost a 90degree angle. I had to get help with that part, my neighbour helped me remove it, replace it and rehang the window.

ass

I think it came out ok.
Not perfect but pretty good considering I’m learning as I go.

I still have a little work to do:
Look at this shit, under the nails I found cardboard….I assume the fucktards had a broken window….and NAILED cardboard over the hole?

After I’m done I’ll pull the door off and service/replace the tracks/wheels.

Bluefire Grill docklands Melbourne review

Published by F4J under Food

http://www.bluefiregrill.com.au/what_is_churrascaria.htm

On your table you will find a card (the size of a coaster). Keep it turned to ‘green’ and our passadors will know to keep coming around with food. When you’ve had enough or need a rest, simply flip it over to the red side.

Not true. The actual truth (Having been three times with groups) is as follows.

1. They Sell drinks.
2. Long after the first drinks arrive the bread comes out.
3. Eventually veggies come out.

Both very nice I should add. But the guys carrying the meats will avoid your table until (I assume) a predetermined timer or percent has been eaten.

4. The meats and fish hit your table all together.
5. Service slows to a crawl.

The thing is thay advertise is as being all you can eat, it is really not. Once you’ve done the rotation they want you to go.
Actually the second time we went the manager as much as told us this. We were sitting there waiting for ages for the next round, he eventually came over and asked how everything was, we said great just waiting for the next dish.

He said youve had x,y,z , we said….uh isnt it all you can eat? Reluctantly they started again.
We wernt being gluttons or taking very much either.

Same deal again when we went last week. Good food but they only want x amount of rounds, even if you dont eat much or miss items. I think the key is to take lots at the start.

Fucking deathcar. edit: 11/11/2009

Published by F4J under Deathcar

Re: http://www.prettyfar.com/?p=239

FUCKHOLES as it turns out installed two different drive shafts.
Only another $600 to fix their fucked work.

Plus shocks, service. $1700. I could almost buy another car for that.

Edit:

Melrey Mechanical Repairs
Address: 132 Melville Rd, Pascoe Vale South, VIC, 3044
Phone number: (03) 93840707

After the drama, wheel falling off and such.
Turns out they fitted:

1x Prelude driveshaft.
1x Integra driveshaft.

They are not the same length. Prelude is longer so the shaft was compressed (has a joint in the middle to move on bumps and such) and pushing against the gearbox.
Car really nice to drive again after the work though.

The screaming stopped last week.
My dodgy back neighbours moved out of what tunred out to be goverment housing.

Other neighbours tell me that the place was completly renovated before they moved in, I mention that because right after it was vacated I had a little snoop, no curtains, place was trashed. Evidently enough that it was bulldozed.

I assume I’ll have months of builders to listen to now while I sleep.

Bonus pic.
Note the mattress, classic garden decoration accented by their trashpile.
