Went to the park today…

What a surprise.

I’ve been frustrated. The last few days have been much too windy to play, today I decided to try and hover in my back yard again.

I did quite well actually. The first time I managed to get about a meter above the ground for about 5 seconds in an unsteady hover. When I started to lose control I made a rough but successful landing.

Scared of breaking it I packed up and headed back inside to play with the blade balance. After which I tried again failing to even get ground effect air.

I played with the blades again and took off, lost control again after a few seconds and landed badly tail first rather than on the skids.

Crap flew everywhere. Some of which I was never able to find. Luckily though I was able to repair it using parts from #1.

Moved across to dream host. I’ve had a few small problems, and I had to reinstall and upgrade my gallery. I’m happy though.

Bought a xbox av pack from ebay – Wrong one, now I’ll need to either buy the right one or buy a next TV.
All I wanted was optical out.

About 15 minutes after destroying my first helicopter I bought another one on ebay.
About 8 days later a package arrived from Hong Kong.

It was a different shape than the original.
It was heavier than the original.
After unwrapping it the box was different from the original.

Right up until I slid off the styophone covering, I still had hope in my heart that it was a helicopter, just in another box.
It was a LCD TV.

Long story short I ended up sending it back, my new helicopter eventually arrived and I made $30 on the shipping.
I’ve “flown” my new heli a few times. Mostly bunny hops. I guess I learned fear from my first one.

Looking at going back to Asia again in 2006 probably 2-3 times.
Last time was not nearly as good as I planned because I was sick. We missed our first plane to Cambodia and almost missed our plane out.
I spent most of the time wanting to die, regardless it was super fun but we really did miss out on much of what I wanted to see.

Its been a big week for me on the toy front.

Last week I decided that I was sick of squinting at my monitor when watching dark movies/Tv, I bought a “new” 22″ monitor on ebay.
When I arrived the darkness turned out to be a software problem – Balls.

On the same day as my monitor of negated advantage arrived I decided to buy a new hard drive. I was in line for 20 minutes at MSY, I walked out with a more expensive drive than I wanted (No stock) a case that I had to argue was in stock and directly behind me and speakers.

Speakers are gay – Fantastic.
(I did manage to sell my old fire monitor and car speakers though)

The next day I bought another xbox to replace my tv-out pc. I broke the Jewel while preparing to paint the case. Had to Ebay another one.

Today while ebaying the damned replacement jewel I got distracted and bought a REMOTE CONTROL HELICOPTER.

I’ve been bad. I should be saving my money for something better, like a huge TV, a holiday next year, or a house or something.

I’m exactly 1.5 months away from being free of my stupid car loan, I guess I’m excited about it. Before my car I had an extra $450 a month to spend on beer and toys
